Winchester

A cathedral city in Hampshire

St Swithun’s is a private, independent girls’ school, with a reputation for high academic achievement, founded in 1884 and named after the English Bishop of Winchester and his now famous weather lore proverb.

The school is located in the ancient capital of Winchester, 45 minutes from Oxford, 90 minutes from London, the south coast and many other destinations of interest. The multitude of shops in its high street offers a wide variety of goods and souvenirs, while the city itself is steeped in history dating back to the Saxon times.
